Lights...Camera...Auction!

Last February 15, a Fashion show entitled “PREMIERE” was spearheaded by the 3rd year College Students of University of Santo Tomas (the UST-CFAD Advertising Arts Juniors).
The atmosphere is quiet new to the nerves. Flashing of lights everywhere and so with a very crowded backstage.

The Concept is simple as this: What do the Devil Wears Prada and Shakespeare in Love have in common? Like any fashionista or movie buff, they will grace “PREMIERE”.

Now, experience be transported to Chicago, the Caribbean or even to Moulin Rouge while the Corpse bride, Cleopatra, the Godfather strut their stuff on the catwalk along with other movie entities. Don’t forget the Hairspray before leaving your Casablanca!

Did I mention that this Fashion Show was sponsored by Auction.ph? Yes it is.....

Did You Know?

The word Auction indeed is really an interesting term. Im also puzzled where it came from. Thanks to Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I was able to search its definition, terms related with it and a short history of Auction.

“ An auction is a process of buying and selling goods or services by offering them up for bid, taking bids, and then selling the item to the winning bidder. In economic theory, an auction may refer to any mechanism or set of trading rules for exchange.
There are several variations on the basic auction form, including time limits, minimum or maximum limits on bid prices, and special rules for determining the winning bidder(s) and sale price(s). Participants in an auction may or may not know the identities or actions of other participants. Depending on the auction, bidders may participate in person or remotely through a variety of means, including telephone and the internet. Auctions are generally funded by a fee paid by the seller to the auctioneer or auction company.”

And I found out that ancient Greeks are already practicing Auction Method. But the difference from its purpose is that during those times the used Auction for a condition of marriage. It started out way back 500 B.C. in Babylon. Again, many thanks to Wikipedia.

“ Auctioning can be traced as far back as 500 B.C.[1] According to ancient Greek scribes, the more generally accepted auction occurred first in Babylon in 500 B.C. During this period, auctions were held annually, and women were sold on the condition of marriage. It was considered illegal to allow a daughter to be sold outside the auction method. Women with “beauty” engendered higher bidding, women without “beauty” had to pay a dowry to be accepted into the auction, and thus the price would be negative.”

Interesting isn’t it? But its undeniably unfair for those ladies who haven’t blessed with beauty..

Wanted: Top Seller!

Who says you can not earn a living through online Selling?
Auction.Ph has proven this wrong. Introducing Top Seller Mr. Jerry Cleto, a.k.a. Gadget_World ". He earns a living by selling wide variety of items in Auction.Ph. But reaching what he is now is not an easy task. It took time for him to have this Top Seller reputation made into reality. For him, building a trust to customers is the most difficult part for start ups. First you need to establish good relationship with buyers. Once you made this relationship fruit full, thats where the success of your business begins. Comments from buyers is also a delicate part, in every transaction a buyer has this right of giving you a feedback. If your service is bad, of course you'll be getting a bad comment. But it you suffice a buyer, expect a very good and leg-pulling praises.

Income wise, though i don't have the exact figures of how much this guy is earning. But all i can disclose is that this guy has a monthly gross sales of 100,000 to million a month.

So, what are you waiting for? If you have this entrepreneurial interest, why not start investing time and small capital then manage your own online business.

P.S.
Gadget-World is selling wide variety of items such as:Prepaid card, cell fones, PSP, Laptop computers, Lcd screens, Shirts, bags, accessories and many more.

He also done a live TV appearance in a TeLe Radyo segment entitled "Radyo Negosyo ".

Your Protection for Online Transaction!

Have you ever heard of Escrow? If not? I hope this will give you a better picture.

From Wikipedia ,
"Escrow is a legal arrangement in which an asset (such as cash, real property or other tangible assets) is deposited into safekeeping (e.g. a bank account) under the trust of a neutral third party (escrow agent) pending satisfaction of contractual contingency or condition. Once the condition has been met, the escrow agent will deliver the asset to the party prescribed by the contract."

For Internet Escrow, Wikipedia defines that
"Escrow services are intended to ensure security by acting as a middle-man in transactions where the two parties do not trust each other. Rather than sending money or goods directly to the other party (which is insecure, as one or other party must send their item first, at the risk that the other party may not then send theirs), party #1 sends their items (X, usually money) to the escrow service, which holds them until the party #1 receives item Y, the service sends X on to party #2. If either party fails to deliver their part of the deal, X will be held at the escrow service and eventually returned to them."

Now, If you are still afraid of buying and selling online, Worry not because Auction.ph
is here equipped with its very own Escrow System. This one is a unique system that essentially protects all buying and selling transactions from potential risk of fraud. In short,Auction.Ph will keep all your transactions safe and secure.
Auction.Ph Escrow System serves as an intermediary and support for transactions between buyers and sellers upon closing of an auction or any type of buying and selling method. One of their main objective is to increase the level of safety and convenience of transactions among its members.

Heres how it works:
1. Buyer and Seller agree to use Auction.ph’s Escrow Service
To avail of Auction.ph’s Escrow Service, one has to be a registered member. Upon registration, prospective members will be asked to conform to the Escrow Agreement whereby the terms of the Escrow Service are stipulated. Once registered members (buyer and seller) conclude a successful transaction, they may already avail of Auction.ph’s Escrow Service.
2. Buyer pays Auction.ph
After a successful transaction (either auction, shopping, cooperative buying or bargains), buyer is requested to pay the full amount of the item/s to Auction.ph. The buyer may choose any of the following payment methods: (Internet Banking,Credit Card (soon to be available), E-money, Bills Payment, Gcash & Smart money)
When payment is received, it will be verified and secured by Auction.ph. After payment is secured, Auction.ph will notify the seller (through e-mail) to ship the item/s to the buyer, giving him the buyer’s shipping details.
Buyer has seven (7) days upon end of auction or selling transaction to settle payment of item/s with Auction.ph. If after seven (7) days, Auction.ph does not receive payment, transaction is considered cancel.

So worry-not to do transaction online because Auction.Ph Escrow System
is now here to protect you.

A Music Fone needs not to be Expensive!

http://img169.imageshack.us/img169/7573/samsungi450xg4.jpg
It is true indeed that in the market there's a lot of cell phones which has music players, but not every music phone performed good in integrating the phone music controls into one device.
For a user-friendly music controls, which LG Muzig LX570 has is always a plus point, but for me an ideal music fone should have the capability to feature a convenient way to scroll a long list of tracks quickly.
Incomparable with iPhone
and a few other models, not many handsets have accomplished that feature.
Here's my bet, introducing SGH i450! It contains an attractive dual-slider design and easy-to-use controls. With its uniqueness, it also has a broad selection of multimedia features, satisfying call quality, and sharp music performance all make for a solid device. I guess Samsung deserves recognition for its recent SGH-i450 and theres a lot more for every music lover might expect.
You may check current price at this site
On a not so brighter side, SGH-i450 with its 2-megapixel camera, some buyers might find it not too impressive.
But still, i consider this music fone cheap in price over its unique features. (Bluetooth, Music Player, Internet Browser, Camera: 2 MP and up, FM Radio, E-Mail & 3G)
